About the event

The practice of drawing from life is a great way to experience a state of flow.  Engaging with our environment in a direct and unfiltered way is becoming a progressively rare experience for most of us as we are either too busy to stop and look, or we are looking at screens.  As long as we have eyes and can put pencil to paper, we can draw.  Using this primitive tool and our basic faculties, we can observe and appreciate the world around us and become more intimate with light, texture, shape, colour and form.

Unique to Dalston Clay, this 4hr session encourages an experience of flow by exercising our observational faculties whilst delaying our gratification of eating.  During this process we become visually intimate with our food before consuming it physically, resulting in a rich and sensuous collective experience.

Arrive in good time to settle down in front of the traditional still life placed before you.  All food, drink and art materials provided.  We encourage ALL levels of artistic ability to attend: It's all about the journey! (and the reward ;)
