Interested in learning ceramics but can’t afford it at the moment?
Want to get involved and be part of something new and exciting?
At Dalston Clay, affordability and community are important to us.
We created Work Exchange to help us keep our prices affordable, help less financially able people to benefit from the studio and to give people a sense of belonging through being of service. How it works is very simple: assist us at the studio for 3 x 3hr sessions in return for a 3 x 3hr Drop-In session plan to use at any time 9am to 9pm seven days a week.
No prior ceramics experience is necessary; just a willingness to take part.
During your session you will be guided by our studio manager in various studio jobs such as glazing, firing, tidying, cleaning, organising and maintaining equipment.
If you think this might be for you, please fill out the form below and we will be in touch asap.
Please note that if you cant make a session that we have approved, try to give us at least a weeks notice via email at info@dalstonclay.com.

As a CIC and Social Enterprise, it is our intention to make Dalston Clay a studio that is available to everyone, regardless of financial circumstance. While we need to function as a business, we never want money to be the reason why someone can't benefit from what we've built. If you truly can't afford the full cost of our offerings, we invite you to contact us to discuss your situation and we will endeavour to sort something out.
