We are a small studio so we apologise that we cannot correspond regarding
work collection on an individual basis
When Can I Collect My Work?
​​Studio glazed work is ready three weeks after your making session
Self glazed work is ready two weeks after your glazing session
After coming out of final glaze firing, all work is stored for at least two months, after which it may be sold, given away or discarded to make shelf space available for new work. ​​

Collection times
Monday to Friday: 10am - 6pm
Saturday: 11.30am - 4.30pm
Sunday: 10am - 6pm

​​​​If nobody is in the studio, you can find your glazed work on the shelves to the left of the studio. Shelves are labelled according to your session name. The shelves are quite full so we recommend having access to a photo of your work to help locate it. We have limited packing materials so do bring your own in case. ​

Leave your work to dry at the end of your session. Work requires approximately one week to dry.
When it is fully dry (Green ware or Bone dry), we will bisque fire your work to 950c (Bisque ware). Then work is stamped with the date, after which you have two months to return to glaze before work is at risk of disposal.
After bisque firing and 3 weeks after your session your work is ready for you to glaze. After glazing leave your work in the kiln room for us to glaze fire to 1250c (stone ware glaze firing)
Come and collect your work after two weeks from your glazing session. Collection times are 9am to 9pm 7 days a week.

We can only store your work for a maximum of two months after glaze firing, after which time we reserve the right to dispose of it to make space for new work.

Mark your work with a diamond (for satin white glaze) or if coated with coloured slip we will clear glaze for you. Work requires approximately one
week to dry.

We can only store your work for a maximum of two months after glazing, after which time we reserve the right to dispose of work or if we like it, sell for charity.
As a CIC and Social Enterprise, it is our intention to make Dalston Clay a studio that is available to everyone, regardless of financial circumstance. While we need to function as a business, we never want money to be the reason why someone can't benefit from what we've built. If you truly can't afford the full cost of our offerings, we invite you to contact us to discuss your situation and we will endeavour to sort something out.
